I was born in New Orleans and raised in its suburbs in Metairie,
Louisiana. I now live in Lafayette, where I attend the University of
Louisiana at Lafayette. Slowly but surely I am pursuing a degree in
computer science. I am 22 years of age.
I spend a large amount of time tinkering with the Android Open Source Project and, as a result, the Linux kernel. I also have experience with various other open-source software, from GNU/Linux distributions, to web bulletin board software, and even audio and image manipulation programs. I know my way around Unix and Unix-like systems.
To this end I have experience in C, C++, Java, and PHP programming. I do freelance contracting with these and other languages. I also have experience with the Windows API and SQL databases. As you can see from my quite unremarkable website, I've done limited design work as well.
I do have experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop. I am by no means a professional graphics artist, but I have produced suitable graphics and designs when necessary.
I have more traditional hobbies as well. Reading and learning are favored daily activities. Though most of my reading is of electronic media on the topics of current events and technology, I do enjoy the odd creative work.
On the subject of food, I enjoy exercising my creativity in the kitchen. Of course, every Monday evening there is a pot of creole-style red beans on the stove. Perhaps one day I will have the patience to record my favorite recipes for all to critique.
